The Astromania 1.25" H-Alpha Night Sky Filter is a long-pass filter designed to enhance astronomical observations. It has a 50% transition from blocking to passing at about 640nm, with 80% or above transmittance at wavelengths longer than 650nm. This filter is ideal for extreme anti light-pollution applications and for contrast-enhancement of emission nebulae and other astronomical objects bright in the infrared.
