Give southern gardens a hint of the tropics with our Amaryllis Red Lion, the most popular of all Amaryllis. Each stem produces 4-6 brilliant red flowers surrounded by long green leaves. Blooms on a yearly cycle and with proper care will flower again each year. When Amaryllis are planted outdoors, they look best when planted in clusters of a dozen or more. Group the bulbs rather than planting in straight lines for a more natural look. Amazingly easy to grow. Enjoy enormous blooms year after year with minimal care. • Perennial in Zones 9-11
• Growing instructions: Amaryllis can be planted outdoors in frost-free Hardiness Zones 9-11
• Select an area in the garden that receives full or partial sun and where the soil drains well
• Plant the bulbs one foot apart with the top (necks) of the bulbs protruding from the soil
• Keep the soil evenly moist and apply a balanced fertilizer (10-10-10) every other month during the spring and summer
• Deadhead flowers to promote future blooming
