MedHeal Silicone Ag Foam Dressing is a multi-layer antimicrobial wound care dressing. The outmost polyurethane film is impermeable to water and bacteria but allows vapor and oxygen transmission to create a breathable wound healing environment. The absorbent core can remove the infectious exudate from the wound bed upon contact to avoid wound maceration but maintain a moist environment to facilitate the wound healing. The soft silicone adhesive allows atraumatic dressing removal to avoid the secondary damage to the newly grown tissue and the peri-wound area to improve the clinic outcome. The ionic silver provides a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity against most common clinical pathogens associated with wound infection for up to 7 days, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Enterococcus faecalis, Escherlchia coli, Klesiella pneumonlae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
